Senirkent is a town and capital of the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Isparta . The city is c a. 37 km north of the provincial capital Isparta on the trunk road D 320 (from Aydın to Yalvaç ).

The district was formed in 1952 from the eastern part of Uluborlu County and is located in the northwest of the province. It is bordered by Uluborlu County to the east, Atabey County to the south, Eğirdir County to the south-east and Yalvaç County to the north-east. The northern part of the Eğirdir Gölü forms the border in the east and the province of Afyonkarahisar that in the northwest. In addition to the district town, it consists of the municipality of Büyükkabaca (3,824 inh.) And the eight villages ( Köy ): Gençali (783 inh .), Uluğbey, Karip, Yassıören, Ortayazı, Akkeçili and Başköy (40 inh.). Each of these villages has an average of 415 inhabitants, for a total of 2,907 inhabitants.

The circular economy is largely based on agriculture. As an agricultural activity, the focus is on fruit production. Mainly apples, grapes, cherries, sour cherries, sugar beets and cereals are planted here. In addition, livestock is farmed. In the villages on the banks of the Eğirdir Gölü , fishing is also a source of income. Marble has also been produced in recent years. On July 13, 1995, a flood disaster occurred in the district, in which 74 people died.
