Waldzell is a part of the municipality of Steinfeld in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart in Bavaria .

The place is 294  m above sea level. NHN between Karlstadt and Marktheidenfeld on the district road MSP 12 , which joins the district road MSP 22 from the direction of Lohr am Main .

The Gertraudengraben flows from the left into the Zellergraben in the north of the municipal area . In addition, the Schneidergraben and Bettelmannsgraben merge to form the Riedgraben in the south of the area .

history

Waldzell was an independent municipality in the Lohr am Main district until it was dissolved. Waldzell has been part of the Main-Spessart district since July 1, 1972 and has been a district of Steinfeld since May 1, 1978 . The last mayor was Helmut Kohlhepp. The village had (as of 2018) 359 residents with main residence.
