The Buchenbachtal |
The Buchenbach or Mühlbach (in the upper reaches of Riedgraben ) is a left tributary of the Main on the Marktheidenfelder Platte on the edge of the Spessart Nature Park in Bavaria .
geography
course
The Buchenbach arises as a reed ditch from the confluence of Schneidergraben and Bettelmannsgraben north of Urspringen . On dry days, this upper course does not carry any water, so the stream has its source from several sources in Steinfeld . The forest fountain in the Hausen district is the largest of these sources. It pours an average of 11 l / s and was used for a long time to supply Hausen with drinking water . From then on, the Riedgraben bears the name Buchenbach. It flows in a northerly direction from the Muschelkalkgebiet into the red sandstone zone past the pilgrimage church Mariabuchen and flows into the Main in Steinbach from the left .
