The Gertraudengraben is a one-and-a-half kilometer long stream in the district of Steinfeld on the edge of the Spessart Nature Park in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart , which flows from the left into the Zellergraben when coming from the south .

course

The stream rises at a height of about 309  m above sea level. NN on the Mainfränkische Platte southwest of Steinfeld- Waldzell and west of the wooded Häselberg ( 357  m above sea level ) in the field corridor In den Erlen from an intermittent source. It first flows a good 150 meters in a north-northwest direction and then turns to the northwest. Now he walks about three hundred and fifty meters through the Pfaffenrothswiesen corridor and then steps out of the open corridor into the deciduous forest to the left above the Main Valley.

While its previous course has been severely straightened, the stream now meanders through the forest corridor Lange Hecke on its further path near the Gertraudenkapelle . At this chapel, which is only a hundred meters away in a clearing on the left slope, it is reinforced by a forest brook, which rises from the local Gertraudenbrunnen all year round . Then the Gertraudengraben flows north through the forest fields Ruh and Triebschlag and finally flows about one kilometer west of Waldzell at an altitude of about 249  m above sea level. NN in the Zellergraben , also coming from Waldzell , right next to the MSP 22 district road leading to Pflochsbach , which runs here on its valley path section into the Main valley down into its ridge .
