Valentina Alexandrowna Savchenkova ( Russian Валентина Александровна Савченкова ; English transcription Valentina Savchenkova ; born  April 29, 1983 in Omsk , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian football player . The defender took part with the Russian national team in the European Championships in 2009 and 2013 .

Athletic career

Savchenkova's first position in the adult sector was FK Kubanoschka Krasnodar until 2001 , after which she switched to Energetik Kislovodsk . In 2004 she joined the FK Lada Tolyatti , with whom she won the championship title at the end of the season. After the runner-up the following year, she moved to Nadeschda Noginsk in early 2006 , where she was third in the table. The following season she was committed by the promoted Zvezda 2005 Perm . Unbeaten, she won the championship with the club. In the following season she moved into the final of the 2008/09 UEFA Women's Cup against FCR 2001 Duisburg with the club , which was ultimately lost with a 6-0 home defeat and a 1-1 draw, and defended the Championship title. The championship was also won in 2009, followed by the national cup in 2012 and 2013 .

Savtschenkowa belonged both in 2009 under national coach Igor Shalimov and in 2013 under his successor Sergei Lavrentev to the squad of the Russian national selection for the respective European championship finals. In both tournaments, she played in all three group games, but could not prevent the early elimination.
