Wallace S. Murray

Wallace Smith Murray (born March 10, 1887 in Bardstown , Kentucky , † 1965 ) was an ambassador to the United States .

Life

Murray attended Wittenberg University . In 1909 he became a Bachelor , in 1913 Master ; In 1917 he attended Columbia University , in 1919 the Sorbonne . From 1913 to 1920 he attended University School in Cleveland and became a master. In 1920 he joined the foreign service.

From 1922 to 1925 was accredited at the US Embassy in Tehran .

From 1927 Wallace Smith Murray was employed in the Middle East division of the US State Department, which he headed from 1933 to 1942.
