Wallace V. Wolfe
Wallace V. Wolfe , even WV Wolfe (* 12. September 1895 in Princeton , Gibson County , Indiana ; † 1. March 1988 in Los Angeles , Los Angeles County , California ) was an American sound engineer and sound engineer and inventor who 1946 was nominated for an Oscar in the category "Best Sound" for the film Three Is a Family .
Life
In 1946 , Wallace V. Wolfe received an Oscar nomination for Best Sound for the comedy film Three Is a Family, starring Marjorie Reynolds , Charles Ruggles and Fay Bainter . The film is about the chaotic coexistence of the Whitaker family. However, the award went to Stephen Dunn and the drama The Bells of St. Mary's .
As far as is known, this was the only film in which he was involved in this role in his position as Sound Director for RCA .
