The Wallnergraben is a brook in the 13th district of Hietzing in Vienna . It is a feeder of the Rotwassergraben .

The Wallnergraben runs through the Lainzer Tiergarten nature reserve . It rises on the northern slope of the Kaltbründlberg , from where it flows north, and flows into the Rotwassergraben before the Pulverstampfstrasse. The Wallnergraben, along with the Glasgraben and historically the Mooswiesengraben, is one of the most important feeders of the Rotwassergraben.

ecology

The brook serves as spawning water for yellow-bellied toads ( Bombina variegata ) and common frogs ( Rana temporaria ).
