Walter Arnott (born May 12, 1863 in Pollokshields , Glasgow , † May 18, 1931 ) was a Scottish football player . The 14-time Scottish international has won the national cup four times in his club career with FC Queen's Park . He is considered to be one of the old greats of Scottish football during the Victorian era .

Career

Walter Arnott was born in the Pollokshields district of Glasgow. In 1882 he came from Pollokshields Athletic to Queen's Park FC and stayed there until 1893 at the Glasgow club. In 1884 , 1886 , 1890 and 1893 , he won the Scottish Cup with Queen's Park. After 1893 Arnott played occasionally as a guest player at other clubs. These included Corinthian FC , Newcastle West End , Linfield FC , St. Bernard’s FC , Celtic Glasgow and Notts County .

Between 1883 and 1893 he ran 14 times for the Scottish national team .
