Walter construction rice
Walter Philipp Bauis (born April 22, 1930 in Viernheim ; † May 22, 2014 ) was a German football player .

Bauis started his career as a youth at TSV Viernheim, where he was discovered as a talent and was appointed to various teams. At the age of 17 he made the leap into the first team , now with Amicitia Viernheim . The Karlsruher SC soon became aware of construction rice and signed him for the 1953/54 season for his senior division squad. The defender, who was known for his toughness as well as his headball strength, soon belonged to the core line-up of the Karlsruhe team and became a team captain for many years. From the mid-1950s he experienced the successful period of the KSC with the cup victories in 1955 (against FC Schalke 04 3: 2) and 1956 (against Hamburger SV 3: 1) and the move into the championship final in 1956, which against 2: 4 Borussia Dortmund was lost.
Bauis played for the KSC between 1953 and 1959 167 games in the Oberliga Süd , where he did not manage a single goal. In March 1955 he was used in the B selection of the German national team (1: 1 against England). In a representative game of the contract players from South West against North Baden on May 1, 1957 in Ludwigshafen (2: 3), Bauis defended on the side of Fritz Rößling .
After his active career, Bauis worked as an amateur trainer. In April 1978, after Rolf Schafstall had been fired from the second division KSC, he stepped in as a coach until the end of the season.
Walter Bauis was an honorary member and holder of the ring of honor of the Karlsruher SC and most recently lived in Stutensee - Blankenloch .
