history

Blankenloch was first mentioned as Blankelach on February 15, 1337. Roman and early Franconian settlement has also been proven in the area around the village. The church is first mentioned in 1392. In 1689, during the Palatinate War of Succession , the village was reduced to rubble by Melac's troops , only the church and the so-called Kerns-Max-Haus survived the cremation, the rest had to be rebuilt.

In the area around Blankenloch, Stutensee Castle was built in 1749/50 using the stones of Staffort Castle, which was blown up in 1689. This castle, which was formerly the center of the grand ducal stud, gave today's city its name.

In 1783 the Blankenloch village brook running along the main street was mentioned for the first time; it was moved to the eastern edge of the village around 1962.
