Walter Blickenstorfer

Walter Blickensdorfer or Blickenstorfer (born March 6, 1921 in Zurich ; † February 1969 ) was a Swiss journalist and writer .

Life

In 1944 Blickenstorfer started working for Die Tat . Experiences from 1945 as a delegate of the Red Cross , including in Strasbourg, aroused his journalistic interest in political topics; In the following years he wrote about the emerging cold war and in 1956 about the Hungarian uprising.

Blickenstorfer worked in the 1960s as a "freelance journalist and editor" in Zurich , including for the Zürcher Woche and as a foreign editor for Die Tat . He was also a “reporter” and “worked for the Swiss television service”.

He also wrote for Die Weltwoche .

His novel The Hunted was filmed in 1961 under the direction of Max Michel .
