Walter Brandner

Walter Brandner (born March 6, 1941 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian business economist , accountant , graphologist and expert for examination of documents and writing.

From 1985 to 2001 he was chairman of the board of the Austrian Cooperative Association (ÖGV) and from 1985 to 1992 a member of the supervisory board of Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft .

Career

Dkfm. Dr. Brandner graduated from the commercial academy in Klagenfurt in 1959 , then spent a year at the Carinthian Raiffeisen Association and studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics from 1960 to 1965, specializing in auditing, tax law and controlling . During his studies he spent two months studying languages ​​in the computer department of Dolcis LTd in London. He got involved a. a. as financial advisor and as chairman of the Austrian student body at the University for World Trade . He is a member of the student support association Akademikerhilfe. He completed his training as a tax consultant and auditor in the auditing firm of GDR Kurt Neuner from 1966 to 1976, where he last worked as an authorized signatory and head of the audit department.

In 1976 he joined the Volksbank Association , where he was a member of the board and later chairman of the Austrian Cooperative Association until his retirement in 2001 and was responsible for the auditing (cooperative) of the Austrian Volksbanks .

Professional activity as auditor and chairman of the board of the ÖGV

As part of his work in the Austrian Cooperative Association, he also acted as the editor of the Schulze-Delitzsch series .

Functions in the network were a. on the supervisory board of the Schulze-Delitzsch-Haftungsgenossenschaft, the Volksbanken-Beteiligungsgesellschaft, the Volksbanken-Versicherungsdienst and in the steering committee of the general data center. From 1985 to 1992 he was also a member of the supervisory board of Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft. He was a member of the Banking Commission of the International People's Banks Association ( CIBP ).

He campaigned for the quality of the training as a member of the examination commission for the management examination within the framework of the Volksbank academy, furthermore in the Chamber of Public Accountants as examination commissioner for specialist examinations for auditors and as chairman of the examination commission for the auditor examination for auditing associations.

As a financial expert, he was appointed as an associate member of the Appeals Committee of the Financial Directorate Vienna / Lower Austria / Burgenland and was a board member of the International Fiscal Association for 15 years .

Brandner shared his knowledge in numerous lectures and publications with a broad specialist audience. In addition to his publications in compilations of the Schulze-Delitzsch series and in the commercial cooperative, he published a. a. in the magazines "Der Wirtschaftstreuhänder", "Organization und Betrieb" and "Österreichische Steuerzeitung".
