Walter Brugger (lawyer)

Walter Brugger (born February 20, 1954 in Vienna ) is an Austrian lawyer and specialist book author.

Career

After attending primary school, Brugger attended the Stubenbastei grammar school and graduated from there in 1972. He then studied law at the University of Vienna and was awarded a doctorate in 1978. iur. PhD. He has been working as a lawyer since 1983 and is also a founding partner of the law firm DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS , which he also built up organizationally. His areas of expertise are corporate and antitrust law.

In 2009, the Technical University of Vienna granted him the license to teach ( venia docendi ) as an honorary professor in the fields of corporate acquisitions and competition. He teaches - among other things - competition law (in particular antitrust law ) at the Institute for Management Sciences at the TU Vienna. 2007–2009 he was also a lecturer in the postgraduate master's program "Executive MBA Mergers & Acquisitions" at the University of Vienna and Vienna University of Technology. He is also a lecturer at the Lawyers' Academy for M&A and holds specialist seminars and lectures, including on postgraduate training , competition law, corporate law and company purchase agreements .
