Walter Cyran
Walter Cyran (born October 30, 1907 in Düsseldorf ; † May 20, 2000 in Tübingen ) was a German pharmacist and food chemist .
Life
Walter Cyran studied at the University of Tübingen, the bins Pharmacy and Food Chemistry . After the Second World War , in 1947 he took over the departments for pharmacy and food chemistry in the Ministry of the Interior of the state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern (and later Baden-Württemberg ). From 1976 Cyran was a lecturer in pharmacy at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) and the Tübingen University. He published numerous publications on pharmaceutical and pharmacy law and was a member of various committees that were responsible for the development of modern pharmaceutical law.
With Arno Kloesel , Cyran wrote a reasoned commentary on pharmaceutical law, which is known today as Kloesel / Cyran and has become the standard work in this area of law. He also wrote the commentary on pharmacy law known as Cyran / Rotta with Christian Rotta and Klaus G. Brauer .
The German Society for Regulatory Affairs (DGRA) honors with the Walter Cyran Medal annually since 2002 those outstanding services in the field of Food and Drug ( English Regulatory Affairs have purchased).
