Walter Ditz (born February 29, 1888 in Chodov near Karlsbad , † August 5, 1925 in Munich ) was an Austrian painter and poster artist.

Live and act

Walter Ditz studied from October 14, 1908 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the painting school Seitz, later with Carl von Marr . During the First World War he created a series of posters, including for the 8th war loan under the motto Fatherland, Family, Future , for aid to prisoners of war and to greet those on vacation at the front. In 1923 he visited Italy. In the last years of his life he created some works with religious motifs. Walter Ditz was a member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative and exhibited his works in the Munich Glass Palace . He died in Munich at the age of 38.
