Walter Froewis

Walter Fröwis (born May 11, 1928 in Munich ) is a former German ambassador .

Life

From 1975 to 1976 Fröwis was a lecturer in the Legation Council and representative of the head of the Department of Disarmament and Arms Control at the Foreign Office. From 1980 to 1983 he was Consul General in Karachi .

On April 6, 1979 Wolfgang Stiens vom Stern , Hans D. Bollinger from the Gamma photo agency, the journalist Arne Lemberg vom Expressen and Carl Bergman vom Svenska Dagbladet were shot by Idi Amin's troops .

On April 13, 1979 prepared troops from Tanzania to the terror regime of Idi Amin an end. Fröwis reported looting to Counselor Nöldeke in Nairobi by amateur radio .

On March 5, 1979, Fröwis reported that Libya was involved in the war between Tanzania and Uganda .
