Anecdotal

The then Werder manager Willi Lemke caused a curiosity in the 1980s, who often followed the radio commentary during the game. When he didn't like Jasper's reporting, he sent a messenger to his booth with the request to finally report more positively.

Probably his best-known report came about when he and Wilhelm Johannsson commented on the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup between Werder Bremen and AS Monaco on May 6, 1992 in Lisbon's Estádio da Luz and the goal of the 2-0 lead in the 55th minute the Bremer cheered by Wynton Rufer :

“AS Monaco is back with Roger Mendy, yes, the thirty-two year old from Senegal. Bad pass. A man from Bremen paid attention. No offside position. Wynton Rufer has the opportunity to make it 2-0, plays around the goalkeeper, and then eats the ball and he scores the goal! Gol! Gol! Gol! "
