Walter Ludwig Wilhelm Lauterburg

Walter Ludwig Wilhelm Lauterburg (born March 4, 1861 in Bern ; † March 19, 1938 ibid) was a lawyer and professor of criminal law and legal history at the University of Bern .

Walter Lauterburg grew up in Bern and attended grammar school there . He studied law in Bern, Strasbourg and Leipzig . In 1886 he received his doctorate on "The oaths" and subsequently worked as an advocate (lawyer). From 1887 Lauterburg was a private lecturer in procedural and criminal law and Swiss legal history at the University of Bern. From 1896 to 1932 he was an associate professor of criminal law and legal history, although he was blind in 1896 .

Walter Lauterburg died in Bern in 1938.

At the age of twelve, Walter Lauterburg and his brothers were among the first spa guests in Adelboden (1873 and 1874) and kept a diary , which means that a colorful description of the beginnings of Adelboden tourism has been preserved.
