Walter Neumann-Silkow

Walter Neumann-Silkow (born April 10, 1894 in Groß Silkow ; † December 9, 1941 in the Derna military hospital , Libya ) was a German officer , most recently lieutenant general in World War II .

Life

Neumann Silkow occurred on February 1, 1912 as a cadet in the Dragoons. 10 of the Royal Prussian Army and was promoted on August 18, 1913 Lieutenant, with patent August 19, 1911. He took as an officer at the First World War part.

He received command of the 15th Panzer Division on May 26, 1941. He was promoted to Lieutenant General on December 1, 1941 after being wounded.
