Walter Ofiera

Walter Ofiera (* 1911 in Oberglogau ; † 1995 ) was a German actor and voice actor .

Ofiera worked as an actor and operetta singer on stages in the GDR (1956 at the Leipzig City Theaters), a. a. in an early production of Guido Masanetz ' The Instructor is about to get married . From the 1960s he worked as a stage worker in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Ofiera became known to a wide audience through his voice: As a voice actor he lent her to prominent colleagues such as Scatman Crothers ( Tarzan and the Hunters ), Laurence Naismith ( Jason and the Argonauts ) and Stanley Ridges ( fear of death at every dawn ). In addition, he dubbed the caretaker "George" in the Muppet Show as well as various characters in children's and cartoons. He was also involved in radio and radio play productions, such as Räuber Hotzenplotz in Not Afraid of Hotzenplotz, based on the book Hotzenplotz 3 by Otfried Preußler , directed by Egon L. Frauenberger .

Ofiera died in 1995 and was buried in the Westfriedhof in Munich .
