Walter Siti (born May 20, 1947 in Modena ) is an Italian writer and literary critic.

Life

Walter Siti graduated from the Scuola Normale Superiore . He worked at the Universities of Pisa , Cosenza and L'Aquila . He has published essays on Eugenio Montale and Sandro Penna and was the curator of Pier Paolo Pasolini's literary complete edition. He published two volumes of literary reviews. Siti writes features in the La Stampa newspaper and moderates literary programs on RAI television .

Siti wrote his first novel in 1994. In 2007 he was on the shortlist of the Premio Bergamo , in 2009 he received the Premio Stephen Dedalus . In 2013 he received a Premio Mondello and a Premio Strega for Resistere non serve a niente . The novel Bruciare tutto about a pedophile priest, published in 2017, was met with controversy.
