Walter Tresch (born May 4, 1948 in Bristen ) is a former Swiss ski racer . In the World Cup , he won a total of one downhill and three combinations . In 1976 he was first in the (unofficial) overall ranking in the combination.

biography

At the World Ski Championships integrated into the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , he won silver in the combined ranking, which, however, did not count as an Olympic medal at the time. On December 5, 1976, he won the parallel slalom in St. Moritz , which only counts for the Nations Cup, ahead of Ingemar Stenmark, as part of the so-called World Series of Skiing .
