Walter Vogl (writer)

Walter Vogl (born December 26, 1958 in Wolfsberg / Carinthia ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Walter Vogl studied German , philosophy and political science at the universities in Vienna and Salzburg . He then stayed for a long time in Asia, North and South America. He has been a writer since the 1980s. In 1991/92 he was part of the editorial team of the newspaper Die Presse . Since 1992 he has been Associate Professor of German at Keiō University in Tokyo .

Walter Vogl won the publisher's scholarship together with Ulla Berkéwicz at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt in 1982 .
