Walter von Güntersberg

Walter von Güntersberg († October 16, 1339/1343) was pastor of Dramburg , Canon of Cammin and ducal Pomeranian notary .

Life

Walter von Güntersberg made himself known to posterity through 22 documentary evidence. He was an early proponent of the noble family of of Güntersberg . As the brother of the Cistercians , he initially occupied the pastorate in Dramburg a little after 1320. In 1326 he was given by Pope John XXII. in addition, a Schwerin canonical with the right to a preamble was awarded. Presumably he did not take up the position, but stayed in the diocese of Cammin . Because in the years 1327 to 1334 he acts as a notary of the Pomeranian dukes , mainly for Barnim III. on. In the following years he is referred to as canon of Cammin, archdeacon of Demmin , ducal Pomeranian Protonotarius and finally episcopal preposition . He died as Canon of Cammin on October 19th between 1339 and 1345. Bishop Johann I von Cammin, as his executor, sold various leaseholds from his estate for 400 marks.
