Walther Beyermann

Walt (h) er Beyermann (born April 29, 1886 in Haida, today Nový Bor , † May 16, 1961 in Dresden - Kleinzschachwitz ) was a German painter .

Life

He was born as the son of the glass manufacturer Gustav Beyermann in the small town of Haida in northern Bohemia. He attended the municipal high school in Tetschen .

From 1909 he studied at the Royal Art Academy in Dresden and was a student of Osmar Schindler , Robert Sterl , Richard Müller and Carl Bantzer . In 1908 he stayed in the Willingshausen painters' colony . He was a representative of Dresden colorism . His portraits, including one of the prince of the Saxon court, and rural scenes.

In 2008, a personal exhibition with works by Beyermann was shown for the first time in the Lingnerschloss in Dresden.
