Walther Fischer (energy economist)

Walther Fischer (born May 2, 1889 in Königsberg (Prussia) , † October 18, 1952 in Freising ) was a German energy economist and university professor.

Life

Fischer studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Gdańsk and worked there as a production engineer for seven years after taking the main diploma examination. During this time he became a Dr.-Ing. PhD. From 1919 to 1922 he was employed in the heating department of the Gutehoffnungshütte in Oberhausen . In 1922 he became an associate professor, and in 1927 a full professor for heat management, heating and ventilation at the TH Danzig. In 1933 he followed a call to the chair for energy management at the Technical University in Munich .
