Wanderley Santos Monteiro Júnior , called Wanderley , (born October 11, 1988 in Campinas , São Paulo ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Wanderley's career began at AA Ponte Preta . After he was drawn into the first team, first appearances in the Série B followed . As a result, the Brazilian first division club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte signed the striker and awarded him successively to EC Santo André , AD São Caetano and Grêmio Barueri . During this time he also played his first first division game and played in numerous games in the respective national championships. In 2011, Flamengo Rio de Janeiro signed the striker and mostly used him in the state championship in Rio, which Flamengo was able to win this season.

For the 2011/12 season he switched to the Qatar Stars League to al-Arabi . While he only came to one use in the first season, he became an integral part of the first team in the following two. After three years in Qatar , he moved to al-Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates . In his two years with the club at risk of relegation, he was able to achieve 32 and prepare five more directly.

Because of these performances, Wanderley was signed by league rivals al-Nasr Dubai for the 16/17 season . In the summer of 2016, Wanderley acquired an Indonesian passport that would have made him the first player of Indonesian nationality in the history of the UAE Arabian Gulf League of the United Arab Emirates. However, in September 2016, Wanderley was suspended for at least 60 days after authorities found his Indonesian passport was a forgery. This had serious consequences for al-Nasr, as the 3-0 victory in the quarter-final first leg of the AFC Champions League against al-Jaish at the green table was 3-0 defeat.
