Reviews

In the "General Archive for the History of the Prussian State", it is suggested that the book of arms of the Prussian monarchy has flaws, so it also says:

"This book of coat of arms does not, as one might deduce from the title, include the coats of arms of all noble families flourishing in Prussia, rather only the coats of arms of the families which have received any status elevation from the kings of Prussia ..."

A far clearer criticism can be found in the " Book of Arms of the Prussian Rhine Province ", here the author writes about the comparison with the Book of Arms of the Prussian Monarchy:

"... As a result, the book of coats of arms supplied here with its texts has become, as it were, the register of the nobility and the corresponding original book of coats of arms itself, and it differs advantageously from similar works (...) that does not do everything completely, and even less the book of arms of the Prussian monarchy ( …) In terms of completeness, there is a lack of completeness, in that no less than 17 of the counts listed in the register of arms of the Rhine Province alone are missing "
