The Wardersee is a lake in the Nortorfer Land in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde in the German state Schleswig-Holstein south of the village of Warder . The lake belongs to the Westensee Nature Park and should not be confused with the Wardersee in the Segeberg district . The lake is about 55 hectares and up to 9.2 m deep. It is directly connected to Brahmsee , which is further east . In accordance with the European Water Framework Directive , both lakes are lime-rich, unstratified bodies of water with a large catchment area (type 11).
The bathing water quality of the bathing area in Warder corresponds to the requirements of the EU guideline for the predicate "excellent quality" (status: January 2011).
