2001 European water polo championship
The 2001 European Water Polo Championships took place from June 15 to June 24 in Budapest , the capital of Hungary . Twelve teams played for the men and 8 teams for the European championship title. The winner of the men's tournament was Yugoslavia and the women's host was Hungary.
