The Yuncán hydropower plant (Spanish: Central Hidroeléctrica Yuncán ; alternative name: Paucartambo II ) is located on the Río Paucartambo in central Peru . The power plant is located in the province of Pasco in the administrative region of Pasco . The operator of the system is EnerSur.

The underground power plant was built between 1996 and 2005. It is located in the Peruvian Central Cordillera near the settlement of Tingi , 18 km east of the small town of Paucartambo .

The hydropower project includes the Uchuhuerta weir ( ) on the Río Huachón , a left tributary of the Río Paucartambo, and the Hullamayo dam ( ) on the Río Paucartambo. The water is fed to the Yuncán hydropower plant via water pipes and pressure pipes as well as a 784 m long pressure tunnel. It then returns to the river via a 976 m long discharge tunnel.

The Hullamayo Dam is a 59 m high and 75 m wide dam on the Río Paucartambo. The 11 hectare reservoir has a storage volume of 1.8 million m³.

The hydropower plant has 3 vertically aligned Pelton turbines with an output of 43.3 MW each. The annual energy production averages 800 GWh. The net drop height is 513 m. The expansion water volume is 30 m³ / s. The substation ( ) is located on the left bank of the Río Paucartambo.
