John Wayne de Riley DeAtley (born November 21, 1958 in Takoma Park , Maryland ) is a retired American bobsleigh athlete .
DeAtley attended Venice High School in Florida , where he played football , basketball, and baseball . In 1984 he qualified for the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . There he reached 17th place in the two-man bobsleigh with Frederick Fritsch .
DeAtley belonged to the US Navy and worked there as a computer technician.
