Krantz plays Stratocaster guitars , including a 1973 Fender Stratocaster, which he purchased in 1980. Lately Krantz has been playing a Studio Elite by James Tyler Guitars and a Suhr Classic . Krantz uses Fender amplifiers and often a Marshall 2553 Silver Jubilee live over a 2x12 box.
