History and Development

In 1960, Hans Weber took over a two-man carpentry business in Rheinau-Linx, which specialized in the manufacture of wooden-frame houses . The first three prefabricated houses were built under license in 1961. The first factory halls were built in Linx in the 1970s, the license was acquired and from then on only our own houses were built. In 1978 the plant in Wenden-Hünsborn was built.

Opened in 1985 Weber House at its headquarters Rheinau-Linx the first builders center in the industry, a hall with sample solutions and advice for future builders . In 1991, WeberHaus was the first house building company to introduce low-energy construction as a standard. In 1993 the first branch in Switzerland was founded in Kindhausen . WeberHaus has been building only low -energy houses since 1990 and in 1996 developed the first zero heating energy house in which solar systems generate hot water and electricity. In 2000, the first passive house with direct heating and heat recovery followed, and in 2006 the plus energy house , which generates more energy than it needs. Today, every WeberHaus is equipped with an ecological building envelope that fulfills the requirements for a KfW Efficiency House 40. The house is protected from external influences such as cold, heat and noise through the wood fiber insulation board. In 2020 every WeberHouse will be equipped with a photovoltaic system, electricity storage and heat pump as standard. Every newly built WeberHouse therefore meets the requirements of a KfW Efficiency House 40 Plus.
