Webhelp is a technical consulting, customer experience and business process outsourcing company headquartered in Paris .

history

Webhelp is a global BPO provider specializing in technical consulting, business process management and customer experiences across a range of digital, social and traditional voice channels.

Webhelp was established in June 2000 by Frédéric Jousset and Olivier Duha founded and offered originally an online petition service in real time for newcomers to. Then was call center OPERATION started and there were hotline services ( help desk ), Information Technology -Support and email - and mail processing solutions provided.

With a global presence in around 35 countries, 140 locations and 50,000 employees, Webhelp offers business process management and outsourced services for around 500 customers such as Sky , Vodafone , Shop Direct , Bouygues , DirectEnergie , KPN and AXA .

Headquartered in Paris, Webhelp increased its revenue by 265% between 2011 and 2015 by focusing on transformative outsourcing, omnichannel engagement and data analytics to deliver the best customer experience. Since then, Webhelp has grown through revenue growth and multiple acquisitions.

In 2011, London- based private equity firm Charterhouse Capital Partners acquired a significant stake in the company.

In February 2013 the group announced the purchase of HEROtsc in Falkirk , Scotland , a Hindu contact center of the Hero Group. In Scotland , the company has around 2,000 employees at six locations, around 900 at the Cardiff location and around 3,800 at four locations in England .

SNT Nederland BV, Amersfoort , the Netherlands- based Contact Center in Amsterdam and the private equity firm NEON were acquired by Webhelp in February 2014. The company employed 3,500 people at seven Dutch locations and one location in Paramaribo , Suriname .

In 2015, Webhelp acquired parts of Walter Services based in Germany , Italy and the Czech Republic , which is based on OnLine, and CSM based in Switzerland . The company also acquired Callpex, a customer management company based in Turkey, as part of its growth strategy outside of Europe.

In the same year, Webhelp announced that it had entered into an agreement with KKR , a leading global investment firm, as a new investor and financial partner. The Webhelp management team became the controlling shareholder alongside KKR, while Charterhouse Capital Partners stepped down after more than four years of successful cooperation with the company. The transaction was completed in 2016.

In 2016, Webhelp continued to grow through acquisitions. In June 2016, Webhelp acquired GoExcellent, a leading Scandinavian customer experience company. GoExcellent has nine centers in Sweden , Finland , Norway and Denmark and employs 1,700 people. This acquisition enabled Webhelp Nordic to launch and increased Webhelp's projected sales for 2016 to an estimated $ 1 billion. In July, Webhelp Xtrasource in the Netherlands announced plans to acquire top Dutch customer experience company Contact2Value, a 50 -strong inbound retention and outbound services specialist . This enabled Webhelp to significantly strengthen its position on the Dutch market.

In October 2016, Webhelp announced the acquisition of Netino, a Paris- based social content moderation company with a presence in ten countries and an international team of 400 people. The acquisition was completed by the end of 2016.

In 2018, Webhelp opened a call center in Tourcoing that employed around 300 people. On June 19, 2018, Webhelp announced the acquisition of a German BPO giant SELLBYTEL from Omnicom for an undisclosed amount. SELLBYTEL achieved a turnover of 300 million euros and thus consolidated its leading position in Europe.

As of 2019, Groupe Bruxelles Lambert bought part of Webhelp from its former investor Kohlberg Kravis Roberts .
