Wechterswinkel

Wechterswinkel is a church village in Besengau and a part of the municipality of Bastheim and a suburb in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld .

The place is in the valley of the Els on the state road 2286 between Bastheim and Unsleben about two kilometers southeast of Bastheim.

Only the place of the same name is located in the district. The neighboring districts are Frickenhausen , Mittelstreu , Unsleben, Wollbach , Braidbach and Bastheim.

history

The Wechterswinkel Monastery was founded around 1140. The political community Wechterswinkel existed from the beginning of the 19th century and until 1978 and had no other parts of the community.
