Crossroads in Bechtolsheim

There are a total of four crossroads in the local community of Bechtolsheim . One of them is mentioned as a cultural monument in the list of monuments of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate , as a "characteristic testimony to baroque popular piety ". The crossroads are the starting point for the procession that takes place every two years on Corpus Christi .

Lage

1740 Baroque wayside cross, the crucifix in the four-nail type was made of terracotta . It stands on a profiled table base with a laurel feston on a rounded stepped substructure. The pedestal shows the Dalberg coat of arms under the marquise crown which is marked 1740. The inscription on the base reads:

The picture was taken during the procession on Corpus Christi . On the cloth it says: Praise be to the most holy sacrament .
