The silver fir hair cup ( Lachnellula subtilissima ) is a species of fungus from the Hyaloscyphaceae family .
features
The silver fir hair cup forms stemmed, chalice-shaped 1–5, in exceptional cases up to 8 mm wide fruit bodies , which are overgrown with white hairs on the outside and whose fruit disc ( hymenium ) is orange-reddish. The hair is hyaline , septate and fine-grained. The cylindrical-clubbed asci measure between 50–65 × 4–5.5 μm. The spores are broadly spindle-shaped and are (5) 6–7 (9) × 2–2.5 μm in size. The paraphyses are thread-like and often branched several times.
ecology
The silver fir hair cup occurs saprobion table on dead branches of silver fir , but also on spruce and rarely on larch . It is quite common in Central Europe. The database of mushrooms Austria has records from all federal states except Burgenland and Vienna.
