Heirs of Beulwitz winery
The Erben von Beulwitz winery between Mertesdorf and Eitelsbach is located in the German wine-growing region of the Moselle , Ruwer area .
It was awarded for the high quality of the wines at the Paris World Exhibition in 1867 . It has been owned by the winemaker and hotel owner Herbert Weis and his wife Mechthild Weis, born in 1982. Meyer, German Wine Queen 1985/1986.
The winery covers around seven hectares of vineyards in the Kaseler Nieschen , Kaseler Hitzlay and Eitelsbacher Marienholz sites . In the Kaseler Nieschen, the estate still has vines that are almost 110 years old and that have not been attacked by phylloxera . It is predominantly Riesling (90%), also Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir . The winery is a member of the Bernkasteler Ring , the oldest wine auction company on the Moselle . The estate received numerous golden chamber prize coins from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture and other awards.
