Welington Adão Gomes , or simply Welington Smith (born May 7, 1988 in Goiás ), is a Brazilian football player .
Career
Welington Smith learned to play football in Brazil in the youth teams of Tanabi EC , José Bonifácio and CA Bragantino . In 2009 he played in the U20 team of Palmeiras São Paulo in São Paulo . In 2010 he moved to Jaboticabal Atlético in Jaboticabal . After only four months he left the club and went to Peru . Here he joined the Coronel Bolognesi FC from Tacna . The club played in the second division of the country, the Segunda División . In 2012 he moved to Sport Huancayo . The club from Huancayo played in the first division, the Primera División Peruana . He went to league rivals Alianza Universidad , which is based in Huánuco , in 2013. After 36 games and 16 goals, he returned to his home country in 2016. Here Inter de Limeira from Limeira took him under contract. In 2017 he moved to Asia . Samut Sakhon FC , a club from Thailand , signed him. With the club from Samut Sakhon he played in the third division, the Thai League 3 , in the Lower Region. With Samut he became champions of the league and thus rose to the second division . After the promotion he left the club and moved back to Peru. Here he joined the second division Unión Huaral from Huaral . After a year he went back to Thailand. The third division club Phrae United FC from Phrae signed him. At the end of the season Phrae was champion of the upper region and thus made it to the second division. Here he is still under contract today.
