World Association of Diamond Exchanges

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The World Federation of Diamond Bourses ( English World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) ) is the umbrella organization of 30 world diamond exchanges. It was founded in Antwerp in 1947 to represent the interests of the diamond trade and to create uniform trading conditions for diamond and gemstone exchanges. The association originally consisted of eight stock exchanges from Europe and North America, with the establishment of the Diamond Dealers Club of Australia in 2007 and admission to the world association in 2008, Australia was the last continent to be represented in the WFDB.
