Who Lives Love is the German contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 . The German-language hit was performed by the singer Michelle and was able to reach 8th place in the Eurovision Song Contest. The song was written by Gino Trovatello, Matthias Stingl and Eva Richter.
Song content
The song describes that love can make a person immortal and is associated with a lot of poetry and emotion .
Background information
In 1997 Michelle took part in the preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 and was able to achieve third place with the title In the Eye of the Storm . Instead, the song Zeit was chosen as the German contribution of the year 1997.
In 2001, her song Wer Liebe leben was voted 36.4% in the second ballot for the German entry at the Countdown Grand Prix 2001 . In the preliminary round, she was able to prevail against the Big Brother star Zlatko ( one for all ) and against Rudolph Moshammer and the Munich discord ( part of joy and sorrow ).

The Eurovision Song Contest took place in Copenhagen in 2001 and Germany was the only German-speaking country that took part in the competition that year.

Versions
There are three versions of the song in total. The Grand Prix version is a shortened version of the single version, as the Eurovision Song Contest has a three-minute rule. The metal version was created in cooperation with Stefan Raab for a television show and was not marketed.
