Werner Brüggemann (actor)

Werner Brüggemann (born February 26, 1923 in Warendorf ; † January 11, 2011 there ) was a German actor , radio play speaker , director , writer and broadcaster. He was particularly committed to the Münsterländer Platt .

Life

Brüggemann was born on February 26, 1923 in Warendorf. During his schooldays at the Laurentianum Warendorf grammar school , he was particularly influenced by the lessons with his German teacher Anton Aulke ; Brüggemann graduated from high school in 1942.

After the Second World War , Brüggemann founded the “Junge Bühne Warendorf”. In 1958 he became a member of the ensemble of the Theater der Stadt Münster , to which he remained connected for decades. From 1960 to 1996 he was director of the Low German stage there. Later he belonged to the ensemble of the Tecklenburger Freilichtbühne , where he appeared in operettas and musicals with Dagmar Koller as a partner. He wrote numerous radio plays for the WDR , occasionally directed and was in action as a narrator for well over 100, predominantly dialect, radio plays.

In 2002 his biography "Van Häöltken up Stöcksken" was published. At the same time it was a story of contemporary theater told with rich images.

On January 11, 2011, Brüggemann died after a serious illness in his hometown of Warendorf.
