Werner Gotze
Werner Götze (born April 23, 1925 in Insterburg , † June 14, 2010 in Munich ) was a German radio editor, program designer and presenter of the Bavarian radio .
In 1945 Götze and friends founded the jazz band Alpine Combo , which played in American soldiers' clubs. In 1947, Jimmy Jungermann brought him to Radio Munich as a presenter for the program Mitternacht in Munich , which presented jazz records and live jazz between 1947 and 1956 . He wrote about Dizzy Gillespie in the Jazz Library series . Since 1961 he has presented band appearances from concert venues in Bavaria in the series Jazz auf Reisen ; He also moderated the programs Internationale Hitparade , Wir schallplatteln and Der Plattenkramer . He was also part of the third program, Bayern 3 , from the start and moderated the program Musik Report , which was also taken over by Südfunk 3 . Between 1977 and 1982 he was Jimmy Jungermann's successor and headed the light music department of Bayerischer Rundfunk.
