Werner Kreuziger

Werner Kreuziger (born November 1, 1903 in Berlin ; † February 9, 1999 in Neumünster ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Werner Kreuziger attended a secondary school in Berlin. He joined the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ) and the SPD. In 1924 he became a welfare worker in the Prenzlauer Berg district office . In addition to his work, he attended the Berlin administration seminar from 1924 and studied at the German School of Politics from 1927 to 1930 . With the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists in 1933, Kreuziger was dismissed from the district office. He then worked as an employee at various companies, most recently from 1942 at Siemens-Schuckertwerke .

After the Second World War in 1945, Kreuziger returned to the Prenzlauer Berg district office as head of the youth welfare office . In the first Berlin election in 1946 he was elected to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin . In 1948 he moved to the Neukölln district office in West Berlin . He was also elected in the following election in 1948 , but left parliament in August 1950. His successor was then Wilhelm Königswarter . Until 1963, Kreuziger was managing director of the Berlin youth recreation center.
