Cally Stronk (* 17th May 1977 in Bonn as Carolin Stronk ) is a German children's book author .

Life

Stronk is the daughter of the former State Secretary Detlef Stronk . From the age of 20 Stronk was a singer in various bands. Soon afterwards she studied social and business communication at the Berlin University of the Arts . After graduating with a degree in communications , Stronk did an internship at Tulipan Verlag, where she met the illustrator Judith Drews .

Its first publication was in 2010 the advertising brochure Pino the pirate needs advice for ITK communications GmbH. In 2011 the booklet Bosch-Berufe-ABC , which won the if Communication Design Award in 2012, was published, as well as Stronk's first children's book Hatschi about a sick rabbit. Stronk has been moderating the YouTube channel News from the Book World since March 2015 . On May 31, 2017, she was elected as an assessor to the board of the Berlin State Association (VS Berlin) within the Association of German Writers and was confirmed in the office on May 9, 2018.
