Detlef Stronk

Detlef Stronk (born January 17, 1945 in Alt-Sellin in the Greifenberg district in Pomerania ) is a former German politician ( CDU ), manager , honorary professor and author .

biography

Stronk grew up in Lohhof in Unterschleißheim in Bavaria . He attended high school in Munich and completed his military service in Bad Reichenhall . Stronk studied law and political science in Munich and Bonn . He is a fully qualified lawyer and doctor of law .

In 1968 Stronk joined the CDU. At the beginning of the 1970s he was the deputy federal chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students . In 1976 he became a research associate in the German Bundestag . After moving to Berlin in 1981 he became Senate Director ( State Secretary ) for Economics and Transport under the Governing Mayor of Berlin , Richard von Weizsäcker .

From 1985 to 1989 he was State Secretary in charge of the Berlin Senate Chancellery under the Governing Mayor Eberhard Diepgen .

After the elections to the House of Representatives in 1989 , Stronk switched from politics to business. Initially, he was Head of Personnel, and from 1990 a member of the Herlitz AG Board of Management . From 1995 onwards he was also responsible for the Herlitz subsidiaries Herlitz Falkenhöh AG (1995–1996) and Herlitz International Trading AG (1997–1998) - each as chairman of the board - on the four-person management board of the holding company .

In 1998 Stronk became deputy chairman of WIV Wein International Vertrieb GmbH (former Pieroth Group), before he was chairman of the board of management of ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg GmbH from 2001 to 2010 .

Stronk has been an honorary professor at the Technical University of Brandenburg since 2009 .

Private

Stronk lives in Berlin with his wife, the lawyer Adelaide Stronk. The marriage produced three children, including the children's author Cally Stronk .

Detlef Stronk is a passionate tennis and golf player.
