Otto Bleibtreu

Otto Bleibtreu (born July 19, 1904 in Greifswald ; † June 6, 1959 in Düsseldorf ) was a German lawyer and administrative officer .

Life

Bleibtreu was born the son of a professor. After graduating from high school, he studied law at the universities of Munich , Heidelberg and Bonn . He then entered the legal civil service and worked as a judge. After the National Socialists came to power, he was dismissed in 1933 and then worked as a lawyer. From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . After the end of the war, he initially worked as a judge in Bonn before moving to the North Rhine-Westphalian judicial administration.

Bleibtreu served from 1948 to 1953 as a ministerial director and then until 1956 as state secretary in the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1956 to 1958 he was head of the State Chancellery in Düsseldorf. Afterwards he was head of the Senate Chancellery in Berlin until his death . From July 1955 to 1956 he was a member of the personnel appraisal committee for the new Bundeswehr .
