Karl Mohr (lawyer)

Karl Mohr (born October 28, 1902 , † June 16, 1981 ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Career

After receiving his doctorate, Mohr was in-house counsel for the Düsseldorf-Mettmann district from 1929 to 1945 . In 1945 he moved to the Düsseldorf Agricultural Office and from 1947 to 1950 he was personal advisor to the North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister Karl Arnold . From 1950 he was head of the North Rhine-Westphalian State Chancellery, initially with the rank of Ministerial Councilor, and from 1954 as State Secretary. From 1948 to 1956 he was a member of the administrative board of Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk and from 1952 its chairman. He was one of the driving forces behind the dissolution of the station. At the end of 1960 he became the first full-time coordinator for German television.

He was a member of the Catholic student association KStV Südmark Munich.
